Board approves Wing Boulevard West variance, explores fertilizer regulation

Sandwich Board of Health approves variance, considers nitrogen regulation. The Board voted unanimously to approve a variance for 89 Wing Boulevard West while continuing discussion of a variance at 17 Captain Paine Road to May 11. Chairman Ronald Hurley and fellow members David Liskowsky and Susan Twohig heard from Wastewater Program Implementation Manager David Mason on a proposed Fertilizer Regulation designed to achieve a 25 percent reduction in nitrogen requirements for impaired estuary watersheds.

The Board agreed to consider the regulation and requested draft language for the May 11 meeting.
