Capital Improvement Committee recommends nearly $2.1 million in projects

SANDWICH — Capital Improvement Planning Committee recommends $2.1 million in capital projects. Committee members voted unanimously on requests ranging from emergency equipment to facility repairs. The Fire Department received a recommendation for a $450,000 ambulance purchase, while the Department of Public Works requests totaled $620,000 including a $325,000 aerial lift bucket truck.

The Facilities Department, Police Department, Golf Department, and Marina Department requests were also unanimously approved, but the committee deferred four School Department requests totaling $225,000 pending additional information.
