Committee approves 14 residential applications; one new house draws 3-2 split vote

Sandwich Historic District Committee approves 14 residential development applications. The Historic District Committee approved 14 of 15 Certificates of Appropriateness during its April 13 meeting, including one contentious 3-2 approval for a new 3-bedroom house on pilings at 321 Phillips Road. Chair Diane Dileo and member Kristin Frykman voted against the project; members Richard Alger, Brendan Brides, and Chase Freeman supported it.

One deck-replacement application was continued to April 27 pending architectural plans; most other applications passed unanimously or were approved as amended.
