Committee reaffirms school choice enrollment, approves 2026-27 calendar

Sandwich School Committee approves calendar, Montreal field trip. The committee unanimously approved the 2026-2027 school calendar and a French-language trip to Montreal for high school students in April 2027. With 151 students enrolled in the school choice program, the committee reaffirmed its status as a choice district.
Director of Technology Michael Falcone reported 90 percent completion of phase two in the district's camera installation project and planned visual notification systems with color-coded strobes for fire (red) and safety (blue) alerts. Dr. Joseph Maruszczak, Superintendent, presented the district's mid-cycle review of seven strategic initiatives including curriculum review implementation, culturally responsive practices, school climate data collection, and capital planning updates.
