SANDWICH — The Sandwich Conservation Commission approved four environmental applications at its March 4 meeting. The commission voted unanimously 6-0 to approve three Notices of Intent: septic upgrades at 227 Phillips Road and 1 Captain Crocker Road, and a demolition-replacement project at 8 Beachway East, all represented by Merrill Engineers & Land Surveyors. The board also voted 6-0 to issue a Certificate of Compliance for completed septic work at 90 Salt Marsh Road, with commissioners noting all work remained within existing disturbance areas and required no vegetation removal.
In informal discussion, commissioners recommended Peters Pond submit a formal amendment request to replace fixed docks with floating docks, noting the latter would be less impactful to resource areas.
