The committee voted 7-0-1 to recommend accepting a payment in lieu of taxes agreement for JERA Canal Units #1 and #2 that will level taxes this year then decrease eight percent annually for two years. Upper Cape Technical Schools Superintendent Roger Forget presented the regional school's $16.1 million fiscal 2027 budget, with Sandwich's assessment totaling $3.34 million.
