Historic District approves demolition and reconstruction project

Sandwich Historic District approves 10 property projects in April meeting. The committee, led by Chair Diane DiLeo, unanimously approved certificates of appropriateness for residential improvements including demolition and reconstruction at 28 Dillingham Avenue that will expand the home by 1,400 square feet. Additional projects approved included window replacements, exterior work, a new single-family home at Captain Kidd Road, a fieldstone wall, and a deck addition.

Two applications for chimney removal and shed dormer construction at 1 Pleasant Street were continued to May 11 when the applicant did not appear.
