Sandwich Historic District Committee approved 16 applications with significant splits on two projects.

Historic District Committee · Meeting of September 14, 2026

Sandwich Historic District Committee approved 16 applications with significant splits on two projects. The committee voted 3-2 to permit demolition of a 1953 cottage at 44 Carman Avenue and construction of a new home, and to approve a wraparound porch addition at 4 Fern Avenue, with Chair Diane Dileo and member Kristin Frykman opposing both to preserve the town's historic character and small housing stock. Voting in favor were members Sabrina Spalding, Corrine Ritter, and Richard Alger.

Thirteen other applications were approved unanimously.
