Sandwich Planning Board approved a Fischer Estates subdivision waiver and a tree removal retroactively. Town Engineer Sam Jensen said the Fischer Estates road was built to suit topography rather than follow the approved plan, but the Engineering Department had no objection. Tree Warden James Sacco noted the 28-inch elm, planted in the 1970s, was removed by mistake on April 22 by Eversource Energy, which acknowledged the error and said it's reviewing work processes.
Both approvals were unanimous.
