Sandwich Planning Board unanimously approved amendment to Ridge Club Special Permit for golf course at 70 Country Club Road. Five voting members approved the amendment following a continuation hearing about buffer protections around the Hog Ponds, with Gregory Mazar disqualified from voting. Director of Community Development Leanne Drake explained the Planning Board and Conservation Commission are separate regulatory bodies with the most restrictive condition controlling.
The approved amendment requires quarterly water quality monitoring for nitrogen and phosphorus with baseline measurements, fencing to mark buffer boundaries, and documented maintenance logs.
