Planning Board tours Ridge Club golf course to assess Hog Pond buffer zones

SANDWICH — Planning Board conducts site visit at Ridge Club to assess Hog Pond buffers. Vice Chair Anne McManus led four members to holes 2 and 3, which border the pond. Town Engineer Sam Jensen and Director of Community Development Leanne Drake raised concerns about phosphate levels potentially linked to fertilizer on the greens and questioned past construction violations from 1986-1987.

General Manager Paul McAvoy stated that a survey measuring buffer distances is pending. The board requested site plans, maintenance documentation, and detailed drain specifications.
