Sandwich Commission on Disability approves accessible parking plan, adopts strategic priorities. Chair Julia Wright and ADA Coordinator Ian Reid presented a three-area strategic framework (Community Engagement, Civic Engagement, and Municipal and School Policy Review) aimed at improving commission effectiveness. The commission unanimously backed an education-focused accessible parking campaign with backing from Police Chief Steve Xiarhos and the Fire Chief, including police coordination and citizen police training as part of implementation.
The body also appointed Dohm Jellison as interim secretary and set February's social media focus on Epilepsy Awareness.
