Historic District Committee · Meeting of January 12, 2026
SANDWICH — Historic District Committee approves 10 projects; continues contentious home debate. The Sandwich committee approved 10 certificates of appropriateness January 12 for solar installations, dormers, additions, and other improvements. One contentious application continued: Charles Perfetuo's 2.5-story home proposal at 51 Tupper Avenue.
Chair Diane Dileo and members Kristin Frykman and Sabrina Spalding said they would vote no, citing concerns the structure would overwhelm nearby cottages averaging 1,562 square feet. Residents Joe Ferrari, Rob Johnson, and Matt Bennelli testified in opposition. The application was continued to January 26 with a recommendation to redesign as a 2-story home of approximately 2,000 square feet.
