Sandwich Historical Commission approves minutes, welcomes new member

Historical Commission · Meeting of March 4, 2026

Sandwich Historical Commission welcomes new member, advances website redesign. Chair Rich Claytor presided as the commission unanimously approved the February 4 minutes and welcomed Sarah Sherman Clark for her first official meeting. The redesigned website is on track for an April 1 launch and is expected to stay within the $6,000 budget, with full mobile compatibility.

Member Elizabeth York will coordinate with Paula Johnson to expand STQRY app historical tours to include hiking and biking trails. The commission is planning a spring or summer house tour highlighting properties already featured on the app. The town received MassDOT correspondence regarding state funding for preservation work on the Chase Road bridge over Route 6.
