Historical Commission · Meeting of April 1, 2026

Sandwich Historical Commission unanimously increases historic marker fee to $250. The six-member commission, chaired by Rich Claytor, voted to raise the marker price from $105 to offset inflation and expand independent fundraising. The commission also approved a $20,000 contract with H.

N. Nunes and Sons to restore cemetery gates and fences at the Old Town Burying Ground and Cedarville locations. The group's redesigned website is virtually complete and will launch at www.sandwichhistory.org.
