Sandwich School Committee Approves Superintendent's 2026-2027 Plan

Sandwich School Committee unanimously approved Superintendent Dr. Joseph Maruszczak's 2026-2027 annual plan, emphasizing student belonging and analysis of potential achievement gaps. The Committee also unanimously approved a new Procurement & Grants Specialist position for the Business Office starting July 1, 2026, following a town request to strengthen cross-training of staff.
Principal Dr. Anna Dunphy and Lynne Phinney presented a restructured 6th grade program at Oak Ridge Elementary, expanding from two primary teachers to four with new Science and Social Studies instruction aligned with middle school models. The district is developing a new high school graduation framework following the state's elimination of the MCAS requirement.
