Sandwich School Committee approved a $114,500 tennis court project proposal from Activitas, Inc. The school opened with 2,035 students, down 3 percent, with class sizes ranging from 15.4 to 23.2 per teacher. The committee also approved the district's four-part strategic plan for 2026-2027, covering teaching and learning, student supports, school culture and community, and facilities.
An update on implementation is scheduled for February 10, 2027. The district continues addressing post-pandemic chronic absenteeism, which remains above pre-pandemic levels though near the state average.
