SANDWICH — School Committee approves $42.2 million FY27 budget with salary increases. The committee voted unanimously to adopt the operational budget totaling $42,205,431, which adds a new administrative assistant in the business office for payroll support and increases special education and custodial staff salaries. Superintendent Dr.
Joseph Maruszczak explained the salary increases reflect the recent teacher contract with 3.25 percent COLA adjustments and the district's commitment to providing educational support staff a more living wage. The state's FY2027 allocation to Sandwich schools reached $8,223,276, a $159,300 increase from FY26.
