Sandwich School Committee unanimously approves superintendent's annual evaluation with fully exemplary ratings. The committee voted 6-0 to approve the FY27 End of Cycle Summative Evaluation Report of Superintendent Dr. Joseph Maruszczak, rating him exemplary across all performance standards and assessing all three goals (Professional Practice, Student Learning, and School Improvement) as met and exceeded.
Chair Kevin Sareault, Vice Chair Danielle Binieda, and other members praised Dr. Maruszczak's delivery on priorities including facilities improvements and measured staff reductions. The committee also approved the FY27 calendar, FY26 budget transfers related to special education, and a warrant, all unanimously, while noting that out-of-district costs and utilities expenses continue to exceed budget.
