Sandwich Select Board appoints coastal resources representative. The board unanimously voted 4-0 to appoint Jenna Silva as Sandwich's representative to the Barnstable County Coastal Resources Committee and Sean Trayers as alternate. Town Manager George Dunham reported the FY27 budget is tracking toward an increase below 3 percent pending final state aid and insurance figures; the Finance Committee meets February 10 at 6:00 p.m. for school and agency budget presentations.
Board members expressed concern about rising tuition assessments for out-of-district students, which have climbed 75 percent since the program began.
