Sandwich Select Board backs FY'27 budget with level-service increases. Town Manager G. Dunham presented the fiscal year 2027 budget March 5, proposing a 2.88 percent increase for general government and 2.76 percent for schools, with a net capital budget of $1.4 million.
The board unanimously recommended approval after receiving $1.2 million in lower-than-expected health insurance and retirement savings. In other unanimous votes, the board replaced aging Accuvote voting tabulators with ImageCast Precinct 2 equipment for the May 7 election, waived a $235 emergency permit fee for beach safety work through April 6, and proclaimed March 8-14 as Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week.
