Sandwich Select Board unanimously appointed Julia Gillis and Beth Cummings to town posts. Gillis, Planning and Zoning Coordinator, becomes alternate to the Cape Light Compact. Cummings, recommended by the Sandwich Democratic Town Committee, fills a Board of Registrars vacancy left by longtime member Joseph Carlson.
The Board also unanimously approved an Eversource petition for electrical utility work on Oriole Lane. Town Manager George Dunham reported that state-finalized FY'27 Chapter 70 school aid exceeded the amount adopted at Town Meeting, potentially requiring a Special Town Meeting to appropriate the additional funding.
