Select Board · Meeting of May 21, 2026
SANDWICH — Select Board establishes formal procedures for Main Street parking review and regulations. Following sustained complaints from residents about employee parking damaging town green space near the Snowy Owl establishment, the Board reached unanimous consensus to proceed with an evaluation of parking restrictions north of Route 6A. Town Counsel Devan Braun outlined a formal process requiring a public hearing, seven days of advance notice in a local newspaper, and Board deliberation before any regulations can take effect.
The Board also unanimously appointed Jeremy Cadrin as Town Band Director and expressed support for adding West Barnstable Fire District to the existing shared ambulance agreement for a $5,000 maintenance fee.
