Board of Assessors Signs FY 2026 Tax Warrants

Sandwich assessors sign $87.8 million in FY 2026 tax warrants. The Board of Assessors, with Vice-Chair Nick Fernandes presiding in the absence of Chair Larry Harrington, approved tax warrants including $76.5 million in real estate taxes and $11.3 million in personal property, water district, CPA, and other assessments. Director of Assessing Ben Styche reported the abatement season had been slow, with only three valuation calls received in recent days.
The board unanimously voted to advance its next meeting from January 20 to January 13.
